I am a geology student who is graduateing in Dec 2007. I would realy like to go to grad school for marine geology in a few years but, I would like to also gain experance by going on a extended oceanographic research cruise. I have been on three scientific day cruises but they were more like show and tells than realy a seroiuse scientific cruise. I was wondering if there were any website I could go to in order to find openings volenteer or paid to be a crew member during Jan-march time period. All I have found so far are openings for biologists. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

Ther are lots more openings for marine biologists as you have alrady discovered. But those might be the best resource for you. I would try to contact some of those sites and see if they know of any openings and can help you out.
