I don’t think it would be fun or appropriate to bring a baby. There is usually lots of drinking and other non-kid stuff on cruises (unless it is a Disney cruise).

You could bring a small portacrib. Or if its a new baby you could use a bassinett. Just ask whats okay to bring on the cruise. Call the cruise line first before bringing anything on.

I’m pretty sure babys have to be 2 or older to go on a cruise.
I wouldn’t want a 3 or 4 month old baby in the next cabin I tell you that!…Nooooo way!…..On my holiday!….They walls are cardboard thin!

Please, stay home. It’s such a torment for others to hear that poor babies cry . They bother everyone around, cry day and night, need special attention. I am sorry that you are going to miss a treat; maybe some time later you will have something even better.
I could never understand why people with babies travel when there is no special need.

If he is to young it`s not a very good idea
but anyway make sure that you have a medical inssurance for the baby!

you can go. Don’t let anything make you think that your baby has to hold you back. I am 24 and have three kids now and they do everything with me. My kids have gone to the race track with us since they were born. Mabey see if you can take a “pack along” play pen??? It can be used for sleeping in. (not sure of your room size) there is always a way, you just have to think about it. My babys also used to go camping with me at a young age. Like 2 months. They sleep great on the ground with warm blankets. just block their bodys so they can’t roll. With rolled up recieving blankets. (not by their head/face) good luck and have fun on your cruise.

i wouldn’t take an infant on a cruise for a variety of reasons. i don’t think the ships are designed to accommodate infants plus there is too much for a baby to be exposed to while the immune system is still developing. if it were me, i’d sit this one out and wait for another cruise opportunity and leave the child with grandparents or other trusted family.

it depends on the cruise line really… carinival has cribs if you request them at time of booking… most of them have a daycare too, but how old is the baby? thats what it really comes down to. if the baby is less than 6 wks old, i would say definatley miss it… because you wont get to enjoy any of it anyway…the baby isnt going to care about seeing a show or gambling tables or formal sit down dinners… otherwise i would guess it is pretty hard to find someone to babysit a new baby for a week or so… my suggestion is putting off cruises until they are around 3 yrs old, then the cruise lines tend to have little classes and play areas that they can go to… yeah, it sucks, but you wont have any fun if you take a crying 2 month old because you will still just be stuck in a cabin feeding and changing him/her instead of stuck at home feeding and changing him/her….

There is nothing wrong with taking your baby, your dad can watch him for awhile and then you can watch him/her for awhile, or better yet, will the father and his family take care of the baby unit you get back, I know you need a vacation and a child is not easy to raise alone, don’t miss your cruise because of a small problem like that, you will figure it out. I hope you have a great time.

You need to ask the cruise line if you can take a baby on board the ship. I think it is inappropriate and even dangerous for a baby on a ship - what if the baby gets seasick? What will you do? Babies cannot take all the remedies available to adults for seasickness, and believe me seasickness is HELL
Remember lots of people are getting really sick on cruise lines now. Do you want to expose your baby to those sorts of diseases? I think it is not a good idea.

How old is your baby? My concern would be the vaccinations. I’ve heard recently about certain flu type sicknesses going around on cruise ships. Maybe you should consult your doc about that. It might not be so fun with a baby. But you can get a portable type crib. Look at babies-r-us or somewhere like that.

why would you want to bring a baby on a cruise thats just retarded.i guess the ship having no cribs kind of answers your question. plus i do not think a baby would really have a good time.

I think it is sad the way some people answer these. Some people are sooo RUDE!!!
I think you should do what ever you feel is right. You are the mother of your child. I have cruised my whole life as a child and adult. I have seen babies, toddlers and young children on cruises. You DO NOT hear the people next to you in the cabin. You should be able to use the pack n play but call the cruise line first. I think you should go as a family and enjoy yourself. Personally I think when people vacation and DON’T bring there children is wrong.
